Italian Serie A newcomers Spezia have done well after the first eleven league games of the season and AC Milan loanee TomassoPobega has been instrumental to their early success in the league this season.
Spezia were expected to struggle a great deal when they secured promotion into the Italian top flight at the end of last season but they have done well to put a distance between them and the relegation zone though it must be pointed out that they are still in the lower part of the log. Tommaso Pobega has been a revelation at Spezia this season after the midfielder joined them on loan from Milan some months ago.
With his influence, Spezia are in 16th position after 11 games with a record of two wins, four draws and five losses. They have a total of 10 points and are significantly four points ahead of Torino who occupy the final relegation spot at the moment. Genoa and Crotone are the other teams in the relegation zone. Spezia will be hoping to build on their position on the league table when they welcome Bologna to the Alberto Picco Stadium on Wednesday night.
TomassoPobega has played well for Spezia this season and that led him to being called up for the Italy u21s. He scored on his debut for the Italy u21s in November. Pobega scored both goals as the Italy u21s beat Iceland 2-1 in a UEFA Euros u21 qualification. His form has not gone unnoticed at Milan and the latest reports claimed that he could have a future at the San Siro.
He still has a lot of work to do if he wants to graduate from the Italy u21s to the Italy senior national team. Tommaso Pobega has scored two goals in seven league outings for Spezia in the Serie A this season.
